Greg Girard took this shot, "Parked Car, Union Street, Vancouver" in 1981. The automobile and the house pairing was a strong theme among Vancouver's street photographers. Status signifiers, the house and the car define the modern era like none other. Even when parked behind a house, working or not, the car continues to read as statuary.
